Smile Poem by Alex McCullough

Smile

The expressions,
We held the day we met,
Still remain inside my heart.
Like all the laughs we shared together,
Which soon formed into bonds,
Becoming so strong that they kept us together for this long.
It took a long while,
To become this close,
Like the sun is with the moon,
A family that you couldn't give up.
A smile always remains on my face,
Because I gave our friendship a chance,
But who knew that it would grow,
And shine like the cherry blossoms do!
The words and memories that we shared,
Keep me living without any regrets,
Since the first moment I met you,
I've been able to walk forward with a smile.
