I was cut in to size
When they said no to oblige
The father had gone for monetary help
“No, no we have not opened charity” the friend almost slapped
The father was about to break down
Such kind of insult was never known
He was down to earth and simple
Through out the life he had struggled
I was bright student
But economic condition was bad at present
Father consoled me with words
“Life is too precious” to move forward
He was not educated well
But by experience he could almost tell
The truth behind and reveal on face
He will not hesitate to chase
I saw his hidden pain
It was not my aim
I felt so much about his agony
I prayed from heart to almighty
“I will join the army” I disclosed
All were stunned and indisposed
No, no you are only son in the family
We are leading life very happily
I could remember father’s face
He had withdrawn from the race
“I must help the family in any case’ I had decided
The option for joining army was beginning of new phase
I look back and think of the past
The plight had peacefully ended fast
I am happy and graced
I pray at father’s smiling face
