Burning desires,
Burning face,
Burning eyes,
Burning lungs,
Burning heart,
Burning existence,
Burning world,
Everything is burning and burning.
Fire can never soothe a burning mind,
It will burn more and more
And reduce to ashes
Thy wishes,
Thy ambitions,
Thy vivacity,
And even thy life
Thy ruin is imminent.
Fascinating....I was expecting a piece on that familiar expensive habit/addiction of so many. Ya, reminds me too, of the admonition in God's Word to leave off strife before you begin. The burning you allude to, while fire purifies, the burning is destructive, making your concluding line so perfect!
