Snake Skin Poem by Sally Plumb Plumb

Snake Skin

Rating: 5.0

I am the skin
you've shed.
You said
I was shrinking,
you've stopped thinking
about me.

See me laying,
praying in this bed
of rose nettles
dried and crying,
greying
at the eye sockets
old and thinly
cold.
