Snooze Poem by Brooke Peterson

Snooze

Hadn't seen you in forever,
Missed you so much it hurt.
You said let's go for a ride,
it felt so good to flirt.

Weaving through the trees,
on a road to nowhere.
Holding hands and laughing,
Acting impulsively without a care.

We had spent all day together,
-we were almost there,
Just about to take that chance,
your fingers running through my hair...

Our lips were so close,
only sound is our hearts beating,
thought of us running through my head...
and the sound of my alarm-clock beeping.
