Snow In February Poem by Savita Tyagi

Snow In February

Rating: 5.0

Morning snow
Serene, silent and joyous,
Falling with a slant
Like silvery strings of wire
Connecting earth with sky.

Soft, white snowflakes
Shower kisses upon budding
Plants of daffodils and blue hyacinth.
Hopes and aspirations of spring
Dance in their young heads.

Unlike the icy cold heart of January
No ivory emotions hidden
In that pure innocent beauty.
No howling winter winds
Scream with aches and pains of love gone sour.

Soft big snowflakes drench the earth
In quick succession.
Hungry dirt becomes soft and plump.
Bare tree branches hold the flakes
In loving embrace as long as they can.

This will not last long.
February snow fades as quickly as it falls.
Magic of young love disappears soon,
Yet like a young maiden
The earth holds in its bosom
All that love and its fragrant memory
To bring out come spring in new blossoms.

Hey, NOW all FIVE are showing below. INCREDIBLE since it seems recently that it takes a 'long time' for them to show up.

I think I accidentally made a premature submission of my comment! Can I blame it on PH? I gave 5 stars. (cont.)
