So Called “dream Man” Poem by Cassy Woods

Have you ever had a dream about your so called “Dream man”
Dream how perfect he looks to the way he talks
Dreaming about the time when he said he would always love you
But what happen when you wake up and realize that your dream is a nightmare.
I remember my so called “dream man” like it was yesterday
I remember all the times he cheated and I took him back
I remember when he stood me up on my birthday for what he said “ Boy’s Night Out”
I remember the first “little love tap” he gave me to the hard slap that bruised my lip
As I reminisce the past with him, finding out that it was never what I wanted
I see all the pain, the heartaches, and the scares he gave me
Knowing now that he was never my dream only a night mare
That I wish I had waken up from.
