So Long Poem by Imaanah Saleem

So Long

Rating: 5.0

Cross legged on a mountain top, I sit writing you this letter
Conveying all my love in a happy fair well.

Although I am pleased to move on, rest assure, my memories will not be discarded;
For I have cause to reflect

I enjoy seeing you on your mountain top; your smile big and bright
So bright it shines through the clouds whenever they come between us

Memories of the past are like the bright blue sky above;
Alluring

Or like the fine green grass below;
Inspiring

Like the tall trees
Enlightening

And the large body of water;
All enthralling to me.

Cross legged on my bed, I smile as I recall you in your younger days,
And blow a kiss to the mirror ahead, to say goodbye to little old me.
