So lost to you

I have no words

to voice my thoughts,

No outlet for my feelings

Inside me they gather

like a cloud forming rain.

So into you

Such a part of you,

my tears well within me

refusing to fall

my dreams now nothing more

than distant echoes.

So close to you

yet so far from your touch,

Safe in the knowledge you love me

yet still lost without your love.

So helpless without you

My blue skies transformed to grey,

wishing with all I am

that things didn't have to change,

trapped by circumstance

and complications,

my heart at risk of breaking,

my hopes at risk of fading,

my future a blank canvass

once filled with countless images of us.

Still your girl at heart

even though I know it cannot be,

even though you have drifted so far from me,

I still remain eternally in love.
