So Then We Write Poem by kinuthia david

So Then We Write

Rating: 2.5

To them, that ask why we write
and those wondering why we rhyme
go through all the trouble
swirl around like a bubble
to scribble down a good piece
why adore an art-piece
why worry and write for peace
while you could follow suit
wear a three-piece
stay in your study with piece
stupid, don't you think?

If i could save several heads
by not knocking a log that's falling
then for such talks i shall head
and, for such reasons we write.

Then so we write,
as far as dark is shy of the light
and day paves way for the night,
and so will the sea remain blue
and, at night, enjoy the warmth of the moon
for so long has the sun shone red
and gamma been defeated by lead:
Until fire befriends water
and sons be called daughters,
for that we shall write.
