although cleaner and clearer inside
this damaged two tone heart beats
with an ongoing boredom.

washing, frying defying the delvish
desires, relaxing, smiling, crying
silently for distraction.

sobriety makes sense to the sensible
the appeased and the faithfull
why further yourself away from life
when it is the only route to escape.

less agitated, sterner in step
smoother face longer lasting lover
more productive, more seductive
can hold a pen without spillings its ink

yet the yearning, the burning desire
to go, to pack up, but take nothing
to leave no footprints but to make your mark
in bars, on the street, on walls, on hearts
that is a gift often left under the christmas tree
