Sofia-English Poem by Nina gáspari

Sofia-English

Sofia
Daughter of the Wind
Little thinking, Just kept on going
Briefly forgot who she was
Just suffered
Sofia
Related to the rain
Didn´t fear lightning, much less thunder
Briefly remembered she had a heart
Sofia, just smiled
If she had wings
A pretty fairy she would be
If beauty basically counted
Sofia would certainly reign
But for a few moments, Sofia would forget
Of how much she smile, she only remembered the suffering
The result of an honest symbiosis
Sofia reigned over lands she never took possession of
Ah Sofia
Noone could understand why Sofia suffered
Ah Sofia
Why would Sofia smile?
Sofia
Would get up whenever she fell
Never stopped, always going
Sofia
