Soldiers Are
Soldiers are not expert
General knows how to convert
Defeat into victory
For the land lost already
Soldiers can lay life with one word
With honor and faith in lord
General thinks about their life and safety
The answer for debacle is asked by people of country
It is not only the order to march
But with powerful start
And only one aim
How to annihilate enemy and claim!
Soldiers offer loyalty
Under the oath to country and in the name of an almighty
General leads full army
So as to gain foot hold against enemy
Soldiers are called martyrs
The country’s flag flyers
Generals are called brave leaders
Who complete the honor with safeguard of borders?
The blame goes to general
He has to answer for debacle
Entire name of country is at stake
The general can’t fled the field and turn his face black

I remember a Sanskrit verse which mentions the perils of being a leader of a group. The Generals fall in that category. He takes the blame ultimately. Nice write.
