Solitude Poem by Patricia Darcy

Solitude

SOLITUDE

Peaceful days strolling in the rolling hills
The beauty of wild flowers thrill the soul
This place where Satan wouldn’t show his face
And only goodness reigns

Butterflies flutter from flower to flower
Spreading their painted wings for all to see
Where the song of the bird echoes through the trees
Like a harmonious melody

Summer days now are fading fast
So admiring the magic I have viewed
I thank God for such a wondrous place
Where the only sound I can hear is that of solitude
