Solver Of Problems Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Solver Of Problems

Advice to give.
When an opinion is solicited.
To have ignored.
Yet expected to rush,
Prepared to rescue another...
From a rut they dug.
After told not to do such stuff.
But they go and do,
The same thing over again and again.
Digging deeper into holes.
As if the doing,
Is an addiction in need of a fix.
Unable to learn a thing they've been told.
Depending upon excuses to make.
And newly created alibis.
Not growing at all to experience life.
Until that problem silver finally decides,
Whose life lived should become prioritized.
Awakening to realize,
Being accused for decisions another makes.
To then be made to feel,
Accountable and responsible...
For keeping a grown adult,
Relying upon them like a child once did.
And done to hear this on a daily basis too.
Well...
There is only one thing to do.
Leave them in the next rut.
Throw up your hands, turn your back.
Walk away with a keeping your mouth shut.
That should solve their problem.
Knowing yours has been solved as well.

"You're not going to leave me here.
Are you?
You can't do that.
I depend on you.
Who else but you will come to my rescue?
Where is your heart?
Where is your soul.
And why are you dancing away from me like that?
Pretend you don't hear me.
One day you'll be sorry for what you did.
Or didn't do! "
