Some Choose To Receive Willfully Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Some Choose To Receive Willfully

If knowingly one stands in the rain...
One should prepare to acknowledge,
A wetness one gets.

Rain falls to nourish.
And to flourish for a purpose.
To assist in blooming.
Not to upset!

But to deny the obvious,
After welcoming an effective wetness...
Should not leave one disappointed,
If others have kept themselves sheltered.
And express to them no regrets.

Some choose to receive willfully!
Then perceive what has been given is defective.
