Yeah, that's what I said
some bastards belong in hell
you can believe that or not
don't cover them with the flag
because they wore a uniform
once in some godforsaken
place fighting and killing
Walk into any veterans post
sit at the bar and listen
to guys who enjoyed
parading round in class A
uniforms on weekend pass
who today pin campaign ribbons
and miniature medals on blue caps
and strut with exaggerated motion
to some insane tune that plays
in their befuddled heads
Younger veterans avoid them
like they would the plague
who wants to hang with losers?
sure they won the war
but they lost out on living
as men should live
once the guns stop
