Some say happiness
is just around the bend
but the road is always straight
when will it ever end?
Some say love
Is just around the corner
I'm not optimistic
I'm just a mourner.
Happiness and love
it's here and then it's gone
and I'm listening to a replay
of yesterday's sad song.
Some say love is blind
all reason's shot to hell
we're too emotional to think
that things are fine and well.
Some say love is but a shadow
forgotten in the night
confused with sex and lust
lost in sun too bright.
