Someone Elses World Poem by anna newman

Someone Elses World

Rating: 3.5

She seems so happy, she’s always smiling
It’s not a reality to think of her crying
Her world is perfect, nothing ever goes wrong
The list of her life’s good things goes on and on.

This is of course a painted picture
She has created for you a vision in fiction
So many times she told them white lies
All so they wouldn’t see the pain in those hurt eyes.

She wouldn’t let herself shine through
Hid the hurt she had to show to you
Her safety net will not be broken
Her words of despair never to be spoken.

She leads her life in someone else’s world
Seemingly full of beads of pearl
I watch and watch as she climbs so tall
All the time thinking, when will I finally fall.
