Something More Poem by A L Watsjold

Something More

Rating: 5.0

Trees would speak if we could understand;
The mountains would rise if we treat them like land;
The silence would break, if it had something to say;
But things were not made to be that way;
The innocent creatures would come to greet us;
If we treat them, as they treat us;
The sea would calm, yet let waves roll;
If we had a purer soul;
the sadness would all be relieved;
If we didnt always take what we pleased;
and dig ourselves a deeper hole;
in mother nature's soul.
the years pass by without satisfaction;
something we can only do without sanction;
the sky would fall if it had reason;
after summer would come another season.
all of these add up to nothing more than a well thought dream,
but we, with our actions could make it something more;
something that would make the soar.
doing this is not an easy task;
but if someone were to ask;
tell them that the world could be different;
and we could all help along with it.
