Something That Is Nothing But A Broken Heart Poem by Eryn English

Something That Is Nothing But A Broken Heart

Rating: 5.0

How can you be friends with someone you love so much?
How can you just watch them slip away? Right through your fingers.
How can the world seem so small when it's so big?
When the world is full of air but you can barely breathe…
When you feel yourself falling into a deep oblivion of nothing yet
something that is full of nothing.
When the silence is screaming, yelling "it's all your fault! "
What can you say?
What can you do?
What are you supposed to feel?
Your mind becomes alone and your heart,
Well your heart begins to break.
Everything that used to be so full of color and so full of life is no more.
You become so numb that the tears don't even fall anymore.
Every ounce of life that you once had begins to suck itself from you.
Too much time alone you become mental.
Wondering what could have been…
If he's found someone new…
And sometimes the occasional I hope he's thinking of me too…
That's what really hits home.
You lie on the floor high off your numbing pain.
The loud silence isn't so loud anymore.
In fact, it's quiet… Kind of peaceful.
Then it happens the last shallow crack.
The end of a broken heart.
The signal that maybe you will never love again.
