Song Of Our Old Folks

Rating: 5.0

Listen! Listen! Listen! Listen!
If you heard gbagada- gbagada-
If you heard gbogodo- gbogodo-
Don't turn to left or right,
We're heading to the riches house.
Don't turn to left or right,
We're heading to the rogues house.
By their works, they shall be defined,
And by their character they shall be adjudged.

You see these lawless and criminal enterprise,
That lives vicarious foreign lifes.
While the merely ignorant in the village,
Tattered waste dump consumed their hopes.
Hallucinating on painting dreams of perfected paradise.

Oh! You see this hawk, engulfing on their fate
Flying so high, so high.
Flying high behind the phanlax of croud,
That the not-so-wise people merely enjoy.
Taming the distance to see the eye of Olodumare
Titillating over the ruining of the communion tables.

Listen! Listen! Listen! Listen!
If you heard gbagada- gbagada-
If you heard gbogodo- gbogodo-
Don't turn to left or right,
We're heading to riches house.
Don't turn to left or right,
We're heading to the rogues house.
By their works, they shall be defined,
And by their character they shall be adjudged.

We are at war now
A war with no adverse that kills the tomfoolery
Even the chiefstain and warlord will runaway
Their sons shall runaway like antelope!
Their sons shall runaway like antelope!
Their mother will cry away like a goat!
Their mother will cry away like a goat!
I say their father will cry away like a quail
I say their father will cry away like a quail

Listen! Listen! Listen! Listen!
If you heard gbagada- gbagada-
If you heard gbogodo- gbogodo-
Don't turn to left or right,
We're heading to riches house.
Don't turn to left or right,
We're heading to the rogues house.
By their works, they shall be defined,
And by their character they shall be adjudged.
