Sonnet # 36 Poem by John A. Hancock

Sonnet # 36

Oft I hath Look'd towards the sky
By light of day and moon lit night
Seeking knowledge has been my quest
Of this mystery call'd life we all live till death
From child like wonder thru innocence eyes
To a young heart's first love when passions rise
From start to end life a journey be
Whilst the creator's hand it guid'th me
Thru joy and sorrow smiles and tears
My darkest days and greatest fears
Along the path of life he walks with me
Never alone thru my trials will I be
Oft I have look'd towards the sky
Whilst I ponder where forth my destiny lies
