Sonnet: Corruption Escalates Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Corruption Escalates

When corruption persists in nations most,
Then black money turns blacker than before,
And white money becomes almost a ghost,
The latter too turns blacker all the more.

The tip of corruption's iceberg is seen;
Its major part unseen will always grow;
No righteous persons born can change the scene;
How corruption remains a tap-root, oh!

Black money rules the modern world today,
Pervading every sphere and level still;
More nations turn more corrupt every day,
And society becomes really ill.

Though black money laund'ring must be curtailed,
Yet, no one knows the method in detailed.
