Sonnet: God Is Perfect Poem by Dr John Celes

Almighty God expects each one of us
To lead a life of perfection on earth;
His Son, Lord Jesus Christ removed our curse,
And by His blood-shed gave us newer birth!

Our heavenly Father is perfect to core;
Almighty God is holy most always;
God wants us to be holy all the more;
He showers grace when we ask Him, all days.

‘All Christians are like salt of earth, ' says Christ;
We are children of light to shine aloft;
Our duty to our soul and others', first;
God's commandments to mankind are not soft.

The pure city of Heaven is God's home;
All sin-free souls deserving are welcome.
