Sonnet: If Not For Love Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: If Not For Love

If not for love, this world cannot be good,
And peace cannot prevail in human race!
If not for love, all family members could
Become strangers and life would turn a maze!

If not for love, each mother need not nurse
Her offspring, rearing them with utmost care;
If not for love, life on earth would turn worse,
To do all heinous crimes, most men would dare.

If not for love, most beasts could turn extinct,
And wars could start for silly excuses;
If not for love, men could not have precinct
For God, and turn nomads and recluses!

If not for love, God need not create man,
And incarnate from womb of one woman!
