Sonnet Of Opposites Poem by Jeff Hobbs

Sonnet Of Opposites

I am your will (your want, your mind)
You are my grace (my blessing, my heart)
We are so close, so far apart.
In being, in living, I tend to find
You are my hope (my wish, my self)
I am your mischief (your troublesome elf)
We rhyme, we play, put down and raise up
Drive mad, support, frustrate, ignore
Sometimes excite and other times bore
You - my saucer; me - your cup
I dream a reality and awake in a daze
The cost of such love - the innocent pays
I leave to love you, you stay to placate
A passion of intellect with a hope to create.
