We Tuned in our voices, and then we sang
Songs of joy, of true love and sheer bliss,
Instruments ready, attuned, play'd a clang:
As lovers we would caress and then kiss,
But ours was a sweet and brief performance!
And we moved, we slid along, and we sway'd
In this our sweet and brief and joyful dance,
As the tune was set, yes, set to be play'd.
Danced as we did, our steps we did retrace,
And our brief performance came to an end;
Or sweating and tired bodies we did brace
With the view that said: yes, follow the trend!
All in all the dance, tho' so brief, was fine
And the tune and melody were in line!
