Sonnet: Recession
Smothered by the sense of desperation
Drowning with emotions and despair
No way out of current situations
Feeling like nobody understands or cares
I’m lost from the comfort of sanity
Locked out of my own happiness and joy
Effort can’t save me from this eternity
In a lake full of sharks with me their toy
The grass is always said to be greener
But my patience is at it’s end
Hopes growing leaner and leaner
The great life is just for pretend
Will life change, alter, conform to my needs
Ambiguous progression remains to be seen
