Sonnet: Some Children Nowadays Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Some Children Nowadays

Though parents rear their children very well,
The modern youth behaves in ways so strange,
And turn their parents' lives almost a hell;
Adults cannot their children for good, change!

But children in these modern times are smart;
They want to see their dreams come true quite fast;
They are so sensitive right from the start;
They take not lessons from elders or past.

Advice they scorn and wisdom they don't want;
‘Rebellious', they want to have own ways;
‘Some prefer creased a shirt and holed a pant!
They love the shoes sans lace or long a lace.'

The modern youth believe in risky feats;
They do not want one failure or defeats!
