I loved you for a lifetime,
I miss you now so much,
And since you left for heaven,
I feel this tender rush,
To write a precious poem,
With sweet and tender words,
The memories inspire me,
If only to be heard,
By you the one I think about,
They are,
All I have left,
For ever since you left this place,
I'm feeling so bereft,
I'll think of you in precious words,
Written just for you,
In poems you are near me,
The words they'll help me through.
