It was a sweet day for everyone
For they were celebrating a crop
That is turned into delicious syrup
When you try it you won’t want to stop
In the southern states they use it
To pour on hot biscuits to eat
Thick and rich and simply wonderful
Come on over, friend, and take a seat
It’s so special folks gather ‘round
With balloons and decorated pumpkins
For a festival is taking place
Bring your spouse and munchkins
Oh yes, you can smell it in the air
An intense flavor so rich and full
You don’t want to miss the chance
To enjoy the Sorghum Day Festival!

Marilyn, now you have made my mouth water for something sweet to eat. There goes my sweet false tooth again playing up. Top marks and thanks for sharing this my friend. Hugs David
