Soul-Care Prayer! Poem by Dr John Celes

Release my soul from devils’ grip, O Lord!
And give me peace and health of mind and heart;
Remove diseases of my body fast,
O Holy Spirit, come and dwell in me!

Restore my piety and love of Thee,
And free me from all temptations henceforth;
Remind me of thy love and forgiveness,
And let me live for Thee in servitude.

Rebuke me Lord when I dare go astray;
But take my earthly burdens and my woes;
Renew my soul with constant grace, O God,
I want to walk with Thee eternally!

God, guide my purified soul to Heaven-
Abode of holiness from whence it came;
Give me no chance to tarnish soul again,
Shepherd me Lord, though I be your lost sheep!
