I’ve had this rather pleasant dream
A few times in the past in this lifespan:
I would look up above at the blue sky
And I would clearly see in it a big city
Of mountains, rivers, trees and clouds
Of towers, houses, farms and lights
Of people and cars on roads abuzz
All in the sky Lilliputian and far away
What it all did mean, I'd never fathomed.
But when watching the movie 'Gravity'
That Hollywood blockbuster vivid in 3-D
Above their craft, actor-astronauts glanced:
And saw big cities tiny in our exquisite Earth,
And admired over Ganges, the sun rise,
And many other such awesome images.
I truly, amazingly re-lived those dreams!
Of course, I can never be an astronaut
Nor can I pay up for a fancy space jaunt
Act in such a mega movie, I never can.
But dream and dream again, I sure can
Of panoramic scenes in the sky, can't I?
Enjoyed your flight of imagination! On seeing the movie, your imagination got flared up. Though I haven't seen the movie, my sons said 'Gravity' is a wonderful movie. Here you dream of looking up into the space and in one of my poems, I dream of looking down from space. I invite you to read my poem- A Space Odyssey!
