Speak & Mean It. (Dr. Mlk Tribute) Poem by Lady Lyrical Kay

Speak & Mean It. (Dr. Mlk Tribute)

We all have eyes to see, breath to breathe but voice to speak but no one wants to ever take the step up to the podium to speak what's really real.
Give me the chance to speak, I'll defend us all, just believe in me... I know they'll take a stab at me, I'll sacrifice my life to fall.
I'm not afraid of the world and what it beholds, other than our Maker, but if you believe, you can achieve. Ain't that what our ancestors told us?
I hate quiet people with all my heart. I can't stand 'em. So, my question for them is: If you had the chance to speak or forever hold your peace?
They respond with pure silence and it disturbs my spirit, but I'm not gonna complain because my mouth is always open...
Open to speak the truth or speak of intelligence. They just believe speaking for themselves is for the hell of it.
No, it isn't. Speak because you have the right to. No one can take words out of your mouth, ONLY YOU.
Use your voice as if it was your last breath to take or The Last Supper, last piece of bread to break.
