Spinster Poem by Ramona Thompson

Spinster

Stand up as one ladies and shout out againest this cruel label
Push aside that old world thinking and force them to accept something new
Inspire a whole new generation to take back their lives
No more fear and no more pressure
Scared no longer to be unwed or childless at any age
Tear down those walls that old jackass men and bitter hags have built up for far too long now
Embrace this newfound as yet unknown future so bright
Rush rush now so that you can at long last be

Free
Free to be whoever the hell you wanna be
Married or not
With child or without

It's none of anyone else's damn business
As long as you're happy
Happy to be
Just like I said before
Whoever the hell you wanna be!
