I would not trade my tears for oceans of smiles
I would not trade my pain for the handful of joys
For this pain has taught me to grow as a human being
It taught me to love every little bit of God's existence
This pain has seeped into the depth of my soul
And made me realize the difference between human and God's love
My heart learnt to recognize the fake from real
My heart recognised the longing and yearnings of the wretched people
It learnt to cherish the sweetest melody of a broken heart
I will not trade the hunger for love which is deeply embedded in my heart
For the love of this world which detatches me from my own existence
I realised life of the human love is temporary on this earth
Now I want to fill my soul with longing and fulfilment of God
Now my soul yearns to meet my beloved
Now my spirit seeks the salvation from this world
Now my whole existence yearns n longs
To dip in the ocean of love and beauty of God.

Very soul-stirring poem with a touch of Sufism. This poem describes the rich experience of a journey, from the worldly desires to the love of God, from the material to the spiritual world. The love of this world detaches me from my existence...so beautifully put. A man's final destination has to be God's love.10 definitely.
Great work! This pain has taught me to grow; understanding my inner self; with the works of love. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
