Spoiled By Delusion Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Spoiled By Delusion

Spoiled by delusion.
And fed upon images symbolizing,
Their own condoned superiority.
So many minds instructed from birth,
Have been corrupted to be disruptive.
When others dismiss,
A worshipping to value...
Who among them is allowed,
To obstruct justice.
And those who are not,
Worth the dirt they walk upon.
Obvious is this implanted mental illness.

Spoiled by delusion.
And living lives,
As shallow as their pretense.
Yet innocently they demand,
Their deluded realities command.
A continuing to do as they please.
To be set free from being found guilty.
Of living their lives on lies to believe,
Into reality.
Since...
Deceiving to do consciously,
Had been all they knew to do exclusively.
And those unfortunate,
Were born without a choice or a voice...
But to obey to laws and rules.
Without affording to have other options.

"You...
Not only ignored all laws.
But blatantly committed mail fraud too! "

-Yeah...
But,
How can I be the one,
Chosen now to fault?
I was told what I paid,
Had been okay to do it.
No one told me it wasn't enough.
That's why I'm disputing,
All this fuss being made over nothing.-

"Your acts have been defined,
As criminal with intent."

-Well...
The only intent I had,
Was to pay under the table.
That's why I'm finding it difficult,
To understand what this is all about.
And Your Honor...
Between you and me.
How would you have handled this?
To avoid the unwanted and unnecessary publicity.-
