St Kabeer's Couplets On Experience: 47 He That Knoweth Him First Hand Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

St Kabeer's Couplets On Experience: 47 He That Knoweth Him First Hand

He who has there gone,
Seen there things on his own,
To Him who be so prone,
How he should be known?
He that sees notso as good or evil,
To praise him oh a task is so uphill.

Given below is the original couplet in Hindi along with its translireation in English Roman.

ताको लक्षण को कहै, जाको अनुभव ज्ञान,
साध असाध ना देखिये, क्यों करि करुन बखान |

Tāko lakśhaņa ko kahe, jāko anubhava jñāna,
Sādh asādh nā dekhiye, kyon kari karun bakhāna.

One who has the knowledge of his own experience of God realization, how can one talk of characteristics or features? He never differentiates one as saintly or evil. Hard is it to sing in his praise.
