Stage Left Poem by angel lockheart

Stage Left

I’m tired of getting walked on,
I don’t care what you think,
One day I’ll be gone,
And you’ll not so much as blink.
So now I’m making my own rules,
It’s out with the old and in with the new,
Now let’s see if you can follow the clues,
So I don’t have to be rude.
Take your last bow,
The exit is stage left,
Then take the black cloud,
To join Lucifer and his best…
And I’ll replace you, tonight,
With love and music and dance,
And a boy, in the moonlight,
And we’ll fly off into the distance.
Leaving you and the whole world behind-
Anyone who ever strode on me,
You’ll no longer be able to find,
Because you drowned-
In your own adultery.
