Stand Erect Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Stand Erect

It is really heartening to note
Before being caught
In wrong notion about the role of trees
We must come out of dogma and feel free

We need to observe
And serve
The larger cause
Like big tree does

Apart from giving fruits and shade
It buries dead
Leaves from its branches
To reach the mother earth

It completes the circle
From emergence to end the struggle
It is how we need to perform with life
Even though it may be hard and sharp like knife

It is simple fact
For us to grasp and act
We need to stand erect
And curb an urge to react

Indeed, if we would learn from the trees how to live our lives what a wonderful world could be! I really love the trees, they are the most peaceful most generous form of life! 1 hour ago by Elena S(*_*) | Reply
