Start Doing Every Day's Duties After Worshiping The God! Poem by Dr.V.K. Kanniappan

Start Doing Every Day's Duties After Worshiping The God!

In the very early morning,
chew the one edge of the thin stick

of the banyan or margosa tree
and cleanse your teeth!

wash the eyes, start doing every day's duties
after worshiping the God in your own way;

in the evening while the sun setting with its reducing light,
praying the God by standing is forbidden! Sit and pray!

(These sticks of 6' length were used
for cleaning the teeth by every man
before the tooth paste was invented;
it acts like a brush after chewing for sometime)
