Stay Poem by Kathryn Brookins

Stay

I breath the open air,
while on my back I can feel your doteing stair,
to turn around I do not dare,
I don't want you to see that I truly care.

Life is hard enough,
without love being rocky and rough,
why should I not call your bluff,
when your suppose to love me and such.

This world is full of enough fighting,
I see it all in my own siteings
can you feel what I am writing?
Everything has its own place and timing.

I will not stand here and cry,
what since would that make, why?
I will just stair off into the distance sky,
hoping this with you, will quickly pass by.

There is enough turmoil in the world today,
you should not be keeping me at bay,
what would you have me to say?
At this moment that you have just walked away.

Come back, take me in your arms,
let me hear your voice with loving charms.

Don't do this thing, that happens so much,
people fall in love and then out of touch,
why should we have to endure the same as such?
Its your hand I want to forever clutch.

I will not turn and see you there,
come to me, and let me know that you care.
Don't make me turn and watch you leave,
causing my heart to greive.

We can be strong and different from others,
we can be like our fathers and mothers.

Please come to me and hold me.
Don't let this be the end, we are ment to be.
Just come close and you will see,
that you are all that matters to me.

Not money, not land, not people around.
Just you and your love, our own sounds.
Our hearts are bound.

Remember the me inside this form,
Sit with me, we can ride out this storm.
