Stepdaughter Poem by ... Darjet

Stepdaughter

Rating: 4.5

Stepdaughter and beggars
where rivers turn to salt
10 years is a long time
to finally taste the sea
French girls with black tattoos
faded green
Eat with pigeons in Burger King
these precious things
you should have taken more care of.
I was thinking about the clouds
I was thinking about the cold
I was thinking about what your skies
were going to hold.
You purchased your unbreakable heart
put it through the autocratic route
came out polished and common
