Still Waters - Poem by Roy Blokker

Still waters run deep red,
Rainbows warn of the perfect flood;
Promises made are broken instead
Throughout the cosmic neighborhood,
And Sagan waits, Huygens cries,
Galileo fears, curiosity dies.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

A great fan of Cosmos, both the old and newer version, I thought of the frustration scientists must feel knowing their warnings often go unheeded.
