Stillborn Words Poem by gershon hepner

Stillborn Words

I'm published, but I fear my words
are stillborn and have perished,
inspiring people less than turds
a mad dog might have cherished.
I'll be oblivious and mortal,
since publishing won't work,
but welcome from you any chortle,
a perishable perk.

Dear Gershon, Shalom! Your wit and sense of humor are reason enough to read you but your work overall is far deeper and broader than that aspect alone. Enough self-deprecation! You're a fine and varied and interesting poet. I always enjoy your work. Best, Hugh

Well, here's another chortle for you then, lol. Gosh you're funny, Gersh (sorry, couldn't help the 'gosh' and 'Gersh' thing) : -) . With warmth, Gina.
