Stitches Poem by MAD DEW

Stitches

Meet a poet with depression that is manic
He is constantly in a state of complete panic
His mind is starting to turn into rubble
And he is about to burst like a bubble
He can never think straight anymore
He is broken right down to the core
He has damage all over his entire brain
He is slowly, but surely going insane
The stitches that held him together
Are really beginning to weather
The tear that started in his heart
Has spread and is taking him apart
He is coming apart at the seams
All he has anymore are his dreams
But even his dreams are beginning to fade
He just needs an angel to come to his aide
Before the stitches holding him come completely undone
And the deterioration of those stitches has already begun
So God better hurry up with that angel and send her on her way now
Because the lonely poet could come apart just about any day now
The poet really is trying to stay strong
But stitches can only hold for so long
The poet needs a new permanent fix
He needs to be reborn like a phoenix
That is something he just can't do on his own
He has far too many wounds that are self sewn
His hands and body have grown so sore
He can't manage to sew himself up anymore
He needs an angel to heal and remake him
Before the grievous reaper comes to take him
And he needs that angel right away
Cause he could fall apart any day
