Storm Plays Sea Soccer With Successive Waves Poem by Terence George Craddock

Storm Plays Sea Soccer With Successive Waves

Rating: 5.0

a good theory begins calculated math weighed
if a cubic meter of salty seawater weighs
about a ton more or less we may mechanics suppose...
a sea storm applied push power seven meter swell
not uncommon on wind wave swept wild west coast

during a storm brine wind raging picking up our pebble cube
playing storm surge sea soccer with successive waves
time teamwork cross current swell breaks may sound defences...
thus our soccer ball wield cube shaped rock is physics shot
dropping it in goal rock wedged stuck wave tide retreating space

wield cube shaped rock stuck between a rock and a hard place
fresh storm another day it'll probably leave the same way one day
mysteries of nature play with gravity what will be will be...
wild weather king tides storm surge might set it free
straight sides of an ancient dice too smooth to be worn by the sea

an object intriguing how very queer did a wave put it there
energy mass basic law of physics fluid not compressible
states wave hits rock - rock moves - wave dissipates - rock drops...
myth legend who would love it to be more alien mysterious
giant rolled an ancient rock dice at odds with pillars wedged angle
