i didn't kick down the door of life, nor knock on it.
it invited me early on, during rapid change
change that wasn't open to conversation
for even i couldn't hold it, early on
simply, i felt its invitation loving me
pulling my attention to its absoluteness
so my actuation chased it down
till the questions out paced us both
at which point, both of us stopped - yes
and wondered of our answers
life answered first, commandingly
i answered second, questioningly
the questions denuounced my questioning
and instead, said 'just shush, so both ears
can listen'
