Strangers In The Night Poem by Kristin F

Strangers In The Night

Rating: 5.0

I tried my best to hold you
When you fell into my arms
Till the moment you left me there
I am fine, but I feel hurt
And sometimes I get hopeful
Tried to catch a glimpse of you
Close your eyes
Ask yourself
Cut the chase

Are we lovers?
Or are we strangers?
My hands are cold
My lips are sealed
Have my fingers crossed
Waiting for your answer
Are we lovers?
Or are we strangers?

Penned my wishes and my blessings
Travelled halfway around the world
Send all my love and regards to you
You’re always away from me
And so much for our love
You gave me everything you could
Kissed goodbye
I wished you well
Let me let you go

Are we lovers?
Or are we strangers?
My hands are cold
My lips are sealed.
Have my fingers crossed
Waiting for your answer
Are we lovers?
Or are we strangers?

Will you be alright?
When you think of me tonight?
I’ve got no messages from your heart
Is your heart still beating for me?

You’ve got to let me know
